Sponsor Ferndrop
One sponsor at a time, shown beside the file someone is waiting to download. Everything we earn after costs goes to planting trees.
What you get
- A placement labelled “Sponsor” with your name, one line of text, a link and, if you like, a small image. It appears on the download page, the direct-receive page and the home page.
- No tracking. The placement is plain text and a link. It sets no cookies and loads no scripts, pixels or fonts from us or from you, and the link is marked as sponsored.
- One sponsor at a time, booked directly. You approve the exact wording before it goes live.
- Real numbers. Ferndrop counts, in total and per day, how many download pages are opened, files downloaded, files uploaded and direct transfers started. We count no people and keep nothing personal. You get those counts for your period.
What we don’t promise
Ferndrop is new. We won’t quote an audience or a click-through rate we can’t show. We will tell you the current numbers before you decide, and agree a flat fee for the period.
Who we won’t take
We don’t run advertising for gambling, tobacco, adult content, weapons or trading in crypto assets, nor anything misleading. We don’t accept sponsors who want tracking or who want to choose who sees them.
Where the money goes
Sponsor income covers the running costs: hosting, taxes, accounting and legal. Every euro of profit after that goes to a tree-planting organisation, and we publish the organisation, the amount and the receipt for each payment. There is no sponsor income yet, so nothing has been paid and we make no claims about trees planted.
How to start
- Write to hello@idleforest.com with your name, a link and the line you would like to show.
- We reply with the current numbers and a fee for the period.
- We agree the exact wording and dates in writing, you send an image if you want one, and we switch it on.
- At the end you get the counts for the period.
