Send files without an account or email address

You shouldn’t have to sign up to send a file once. With Ferndrop you don’t.

How it works

1. Open ferndrop.com.
2. Drop your file in. There is no form to fill in.
3. Choose Send directly (the other person is online) or Get a link (they can download later).
4. Share the link by any messenger or email. Whoever has it can get the file.

What we know about you

We don’t ask for your name or email address. To limit abuse we keep a one-way code made from your internet address, which changes every day. We set no cookies, and we don’t use analytics. The full list is in the privacy policy.

What happens to the file

• Link: deleted automatically 48 hours after the upload finishes.
• Direct transfer: never reaches our servers.
• We don’t train AI on your files, and we don’t sell or rent them. We only look at a file if someone reports it or the law requires it.

Keep it safe

Anyone with a link can download the file until it expires, so share it only with the people you mean to. Files aren’t end-to-end encrypted. For anything sensitive, put it in a password-protected archive first and send the password separately.

If someone misuses it

Every download page has a “Report this file” link. A person reads every report, and illegal material is removed. See the help page for more.
